The draft decree approving the cooperation agreement relating to the transfer of data necessary for federated entities, local authorities and police services to enforce the quarantine and the screening test imposed on travelers from red zones has been definitively approved Wednesday March 31, 2021 by the Walloon Parliament meeting in plenary session.
Pointed out by Europe for the ban on non-essential travel since the end of January, Belgium has made the lifting of this ban conditional on the signing of this cooperation agreement.
As a reminder, the cooperation agreement between the federal government and the federated entities aims at a limited transmission to the federated entities of the PLF (Passenger Locator Form) data of travelers who must undergo a quarantine or a screening test afterwards of their arrival in Belgium from red zones.
With the critics of Europe, Belgium has made this cooperation agreement a prerequisite for lifting the ban on non-essential travel.
