Talal Rafi is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur and international consultant. After completing his university education in the United Kingdom, Talal returned to Sri Lanka to pursue his journey in entrepreneurship. He co-founded one of Sri Lanka’s first co-working spaces company Hubpoint.
Afterwards, he headed entrepreneurship development for a USAID project focusing on women and youth empowerment as an Entrepreneurship Specialist. He is working as an Industry Expert for the World Bank AHEAD project where he advises on creating incubators and accelerators. Talal is in the Board of Directors of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Sri Lanka and is a member of the National Agenda Committee on Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
He is a member of the Forbes Business Council and a writer for Forbes. Talal is currently working with Chatham House London with industry experts from Goldman Sachs and the World Bank on designing a roadmap for a gender equal world following the Covid pandemic. Talal has been nominated as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader 2021 for his work in inspiring, developing and transforming society for the better.
