Gabon’s great potential in terms of tourism development could be highlighted with the holding of the Global Tourism Forum.

This is an international conference whose objective is to deploy a tourism marketing strategy to stimulate the development of investments.

The Global Tourism Forum promotes countries in the areas of tourism development, economic growth, foreign direct investment, sustainability and provides human resource support to the industry.

We are working to maximize the positive effects of tourism in the world, moreover, it is one of our main objectives to minimize the negative impacts, which are obstacles to achieve the sustainable development goals of tourism in the world.

Global Tourism Forum generates market knowledge, promotes competitive and sustainable tourism policies and instruments, encourages tourism education and training and works to make tourism an effective development tool through its events, master plans, marketing, HR research and solutions.

At this time, no specific date has been set, given the context of the coronavirus pandemic. But in 2020, the World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) had already expressed its wish to hold this forum in Libreville (Gabon) during this year 2021.

Currently, the second wave of Covid-19 only allows for videoconferencing. Thus, the Gabonese side plans this forum in the second quarter of 2022.

To note further, a video conference in the presence of the President of WTFI Mr. Bulut BAGCI and his Excellency the Minister of Tourism of the Gabonese Republic Mr. H.E. Pascal Jouangni Ambouroue has taken place on March 8, 2021 on zoom.
