Erdal Seyhan

Erdal Seyhan is an accomplished real-estate developer, with a proven track record in the delivery of high quality, large scale and complex projects. He was born in 1967. He graduated from Tourism and Hotel Management faculty of Akdeniz University in 1990 with an honour’s degree. He is an inspirational leader, capable of marshalling and motivating the in-house team, as well as large international teams of specialist advisors, architects, engineers, and contractors. He is highly numerate and analytical, as well as architecturally literate and commercially astute. From a background in hotel management, he demonstrated an instinct and aptitude for property development and led the successful expansion of Hyatt International’s commercial portfolio in Baku including Park Hyatt Hotel and Hyatt International Centre. As the senior development director for Capital Partners, he was responsible for the company’s rapid expansion through high profile, landmark projects, including two successful international hotels Renaissance Aktau and Atyrau, the Ritz Carlton in Moscow, the transformational Almaty Financial District, Esentai Park Complex, master planning of the acclaimed Medeu-Chimbulak Resort. As CEO of BASE-MK NV, advancing a rich portfolio project, valued in 2008 at over a billion dollars’ worth of residential, commercial, retail and hotel development. He assembled, commissioned, and managed international team of book runners and solicitors for the preparation of an IPO on the London Stock Exchange. Book runners were Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. He served as Real Estate & Infrastructure Investment advisor for Turkey and CIS in Asia Development Fund, which was created by Makara Capital. In 2014 he joined MGD Development as CEO, to advance a series of large scale, high profile and far-sighted projects. Its first major project was opened in September 2017, with the successful launch of the St. Regis Astana Hotel and Residences. Before he moves to United Kingdom in 2021, he was appointed as Executive Development Director for 330-hectare Master Development, which was approved by local authorities in Q2-2021. He has established his consulting company in 2021 in UK and have been working with international investors for mix use commercial and hospitality developments in Turkey, CIS and Africa.
